Juan Bautista is the name of a teacher that helped the first public school in this region during the 60’s. The building was finished in 1979 and it began as a Primary school, but twenty years later it ended up as a Secondary school.

Today, there are about five hundred students and forty teachers. The students are aged between 12 and 16 years old.

The school has been on an ICT project since 2004. There is internet connection in all the classrooms and there are nine interactive whiteboards that are used on a daily basis.
